New to the chart for the 2026 season, Bushwacker’s Landing is the kind of spot you wish every stretch of the ICW had. Located on the mainland side just west of the Theo Baars Bridge, this open-air pavilion is pure “Gulf Coast backyard party.” Founded by a family with Flora-Bama DNA and named after their yellow lab, the vibe is casual—swimsuits are the uniform, and the dining room is a massive covered deck with a shipping container bar. It’s counter-service, dog-friendly (obviously), and built for the boater who wants a cold drink and a solid burger without having to change out of their wet board shorts. This is an open-air venue. In the summer, find a spot near the fans; in the winter, hug the heaters—drop downs curtains keep the weather out. Bushwacker’s Landing also showcases a robust and talented roster of musicians, as well as hosts Open Mic night on Wednesdays.
The Captain’s Log:
Coordinates: ICW North Bank (30.3142° N, 87.4272° W) | 13515 Canal Dr, Pensacola, FL | (617) 817-4844
Navigation: Located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway. Approach depth is generous (~8–12 ft), but be mindful of the wakes from passing barge traffic and the tidal current in the canal. Approach your slip against the flow.
Docking: ~9 dedicated slips with pristine, new timber. Overflow docking is available along the seawall/boardwalk.
The Order: The signature Bushwacker (mandatory), the Bushwacker Burger with Balsamic Aioli, and the Crab Donuts.
Pro Tip: It’s order at the counter, so send one crew member to the window while the rest secure the table.
